
The Oklahoma MathCounts Southwest Regional was held on February 15 at Cameron University. The Duncan Middle School MathCounts team—Canon Atchley, Kayan Patel, Parker Sanders, and Layton Toomey— placed third and secured a spot in the state competition. Additionally, Natalie McNabb earned a place on the All-Star team. Parker Sanders placed 2nd overall in the individual competition, with Canon Atchley following in 8th place. The MathCounts State competition will take place on March 1 on the campus of Oklahoma City University.

Get out your cheese trays and tiny umbrellas! Duncan is excited to invite everyone to our first Elk Crossing Pre-K art show! This is the first annual art show through our DEx Grant and our partnership with Elk Crossing! Our students learned about some famous artists and recreated some of their artwork! The art show will be on February 28th at 5:30 pm. The art will be up all through the weekend and open to the public! WE HAV E BIG BAND NEWS! This past Saturday morning, 45 band students from Duncan High School and Duncan Middle School went to the OSSAA District Solo & Ensemble Contest in Elgin. We are proud to announce that every solo and every ensemble received a Superior (or 1) rating from the judges. This takes extra practice time on the students’ part.
